   We're sure you have a ton of questions. You might not even know where to start. That's okay! We'll try to make it easy to understand and help walk you through this process. Making sure you feel comfortable and in control is our #1 priority, with #2 being getting you NOTICED and PAID!

       Most of us, if not all of us, have had our work put on a post or a wall or even just on the fridge. To us, we think there's no better feeling in the world than having your creation appreciated and praised. That's pretty much the goal of this website. Flockpot is FOR YOU. It's not our main goal to make a profit, or to use you to drive the website forward. The main goal is to help you put your artwork in a space where the weight is off of your shoulders in regard to marketing and handling sales. We take care of those steps for you, meaning all we really need you to do is send us a photo of what you're trying to move, how much you'd like it to be posted for, and some details on the product. You have the option to go as in-depth with your creator profile as you like, but if you're simply looking to be in-and-out, we can make that work for you! A successful partnership in our eyes is YOU leaving with some cash in your pocket and your name out there in the art world.

     Our sales process works like this: Your first piece of art posted is free for you. By that we mean you'll get 100% of the profit of your first piece of art posted on the page, with no commission taken out. For each painting posted and sold after that, we only take a 15% commission so we can keep the website active and running. In the case of NON-painting items you post (after your first one), you have the option of a $10 flat commission at sale OR a 15% commission. That way if you decide to market smaller items (keychains, plushies, necklaces, ETC.), you can feel comfortable with a much smaller commission being taken out, and for larger items (carpentry, pottery, ETC.), you can choose whichever commission option you feel benefits you the most!

     We also charge customers a proportionate shipping cost (separate from your total earnings) that will be sent to you on top of your sales total. This is because, as the artist, you'll be responsible for the shipping. Now, not to worry, all we really need you to do is put your work in a box and mail it. We'll provide you with the customer's shipping address and any additional information you may need. Again, the shipping charge will be given directly to you on top of your sale's profit in an effort to cover this cost. Also, if you find yourself in a situation where it cost you $1 to ship an item to a buyer and you were provided something like $10, guess what? That's still YOUR money; what you do with it is your call! We won't judge.

   At the end of the day, we want YOU to walk away smiling. Whatever that means from us on our end, we will do what is within our capabilities to make it happen. Your art is not the product, YOU are the product, and you deserve to be marketed and valued just as much as your work deserves to be. We hope we get the chance to work with you, and to provide you with whatever we can to get your journey through the art world off the ground.
